Water Park!

Yesterday we went to the splash park with Nancy and her kids. We had a great time and the best part it was free fun! Nancy and I had a fun time talking in the shade while the kids had a fun time running back and forth from the splash park to the playground. We were having such a great time that the kids got tired before we did and were begging to go home. FINE! Happily once I got home all my kids collapsed from exhaustion and I had a few minutes to myself to clean up and get dinner ready.

Camden had a great time playing on the slide and playing in the water, but I dont think I ever saw him completely wet.

Morgan had a great time putting her hands in the water and jumping in the puddles. I ran with her through the water and she kept saying "that was fun" and "I like that" like she was trying to convince herself that is was fun.

And then there was Riley!

Riley had a great time running through the water. Not afraid to get it his face, up his nose, or to be right in the middle of it. In the last picture he is pouring water down the slide. The kids had this great idea that if they brought water from the splash park over to the playground they could create their own water slide. It was fun watching them pour water and then fly down the slide most of the time losing their ability to stop and landing on the ground at the bottom of the slide.

One more note: My poor boys look so sunburned in these pictures which they are because they took their shirts off the day before while playing in the sandbox, but I promise that they were wearing sun block at the splash park and I am not a complete loser of a mother! :}

OFF TO LAW SCHOOL!

My cousin Andrew and his wife Tami are moving in a few weeks to Denver for law school. So, I had to get a few pictures of their cute family before they left.

Andrew and Tami's wedding was the first wedding I ever photographed. It is amazing how fast time flies. They now have Jacob who is almost a year old.

He was such a sweet little guy while we took pictures. Love the tongue!

Good Luck, guys! I hope that Denver is a great place for you and that law school goes well. I will be looking for your blog!

Nathan's Dream

For those who know my husband you know that he loves to garden! Every year he grows a vegetable garden and usually makes salsa to enjoy during the winter. I think he would make a great farmer. Well, after months of searching for the perfect one, Nathan will soon be enjoying his plants in his very own greenhouse. It has taken him several days to put this baby together, but I am sure it will be well worth it. These are pictures he took before putting on its plastic covering.

Expressions!

I know I post a lot of pictures of my daughter, but I love taking her picture and unlike her brothers she loves to indulge me. However, she is two so her attention span is very small and she usually will only cooperate for the first few photos and then is done with me! This weekend consisted of the usual errands, editing wedding pictures, and a few moments to just relax. So, I pulled out the camera and took these pictures of Morgan. Here are a few of the pics I got:

Here is a pic from the beginning of our photo session. She is smiling and happy to pose for the camera.

Wearing her new favorite hat.

CHEESE!

Here is a little attitude!

As I continue to snap pictures here is "I will pose, but no longer look at the camera"

I dont remember why she made this expression, but I thought is was funny!

It has been about 10 minutes and she has decided enough is enough and will not pose or look at the camera.

Finally she puts her hand up to tell me to stop. She has had enough and says "no more". Oh well maybe next week.

Last Day of Kindergarten

Today was Camden's last day of Kindergarten. I cant believe its already over--it feels like we just started. Its amazing how the time flies! Camden had a program which included a fashion show, songs, and a slideshow of pictures from the year. So, Grandma Hicks, Riley, Morgan and I all went. The fashion show theme was "what I want to be when I grow up". Camden told me he wants to be a chef. So, we found him an apron and made a chef's hat out of tissue paper and poster board. We added a bowl and spoon to complete the ensemble. I was surprised that all the of the kids had a different costume--there were no duplicates. A few of them included: country music star, dental hygenist, ballerina, and astronaut.

When it was his turn he came out from behind the curtain and just froze. Poor litte guy was so nervous. His teacher had to tell him to walk around the stage. He twirled around to show his outfit. He did a great job!

After the program we went back to the classroom for punch and cookies and to see his portfolio for the year. It is sad to think he wont come to this class anymore. He's off to 1st grade in 8 weeks. At this rate his school years will speed by in what seems like moments. Before we left we got a picture with his teacher Mrs. Jones.
