My Future Fashion Model

Morgan just can't keep her clothes on. It is either off the shoulder or off completely. Today she not only could not keep her shirt on, but her pants were unbuttoned practically the whole day. To complete the ensemble she soaked her shirt with water. She pulled out all of my tupperware and started filling them up with water from the fridge and then in her attempts to drink the water poured a lot down her shirt. I just had to laugh at her.

We are getting so excited for Christmas. My kids wake up everyday and ask if Santa has come. I just remind them that we still have several weeks. Usually we make a chain so they can see how many days we have left, but this year Christmas has come fast for me and seems to be passing me by before I can prepare. I guess the one good thing I have going for me is that I finished my christmas shopping yesterday. I feel really good about that. I am so excited for Christmas morning. As my kids get older it is more fun! However, it is getting harder to shop because they are more aware. We used to take them with us and shop in front of them, but that won't work anymore. So, I have done a lot of shopping online and a little at stores. Yesterday I took Riley and Morgan to Walmart. Everything I put in the cart I told them was for someone else. I wonder how long that will work. Next year I will do better and plan shopping trips and hire a babysitter. I found so many good deals online. I took the toysrus ad and compared prices online. Some things were more online, but some things were half the price they were at Toysrus. I also discovered that Amazon changes the prices of things all day long. So, the best way to shop is to find what you want and put it in your cart and wait to see if the price goes down during the day. I saved at least $15.00 doing that. I put a few things in my cart and by the end of the day some qualified for free shipping or went down a few dollars. The other nice thing about shopping online is that with some websites (like Amazon) you don't have to pay tax. Happy Shopping!

Its Christmas Time!

I have taken so many pictures in the last few weeks. I love it! Thanks to everyone that allows me to take pictures of their family! Yesterday my wonderful friend Lianna came over with her little guy. He is a doll. So calm and sweet. She got him some cute striped pajamas and with a little santa hat his look was complete for some darling pictures. I love his big eyes!

We took so many pictures that Cameron finally just went to sleep. SO CUTE!

Sunday, November 25th

On Sunday, November 25th we had a celebration for Nathan's dad (Lamar). He was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago, but seems to be responding to the treatments he has been receiving. Most of Nathan's siblings and their families attended (we missed Cathy and Pat). We started with a yummy dinner prepared by Connie. After we ate we gathered in the family room and talked about memories of Lamar. It was nice to see the photos and hear about stories from their childhoods and about how much they love their dad. Scott (the oldest son)shared a special song that he dedicated to his dad. After everyone shared their thoughts, stories and feelings Lamar shared a few stories about living in Birds Eye and Salt Lake. Nathan video taped it so that we could put it on a DVD for everyone to have. The time went so quickly I am not even sure how long we spent. We laughed and we cried. It was a very special night.

Saturday, November 24th

On Saturday, November 24th Nancy, Jim and the kids came over to spend the day with us. We ate Thanksgiving left overs and Nancy and I painted wood ornaments. It was fun! Later I took pictures of their kids.

Thanksgiving!

I am way behind. So, I am going to post a ton today and then vow to do better in the future! Here are some of the pictures from Thanksgiving. We had a great time. It is my family's year for Thanksgiving (Nathan and I take turns for Thanksgiving) so we spent the day at my Aunt Linda's house.
My parents came and Nancy and Jim and their family were there too.


The meal was complete with Turkey, ham, and all the trimmings--And don't forget the martinellis.

The boys got to sit at their very own table while the littlest ones shared a cozy little spot near the adults.

It was cute watching Chase and Morgan interact. They seem to understand each other perfectly.

It was a very good day. It was nice to spend time with family! After eating, we talked and played scrabble while the kids had a great time playing together.

A perfect day for pictures!

Yesterday we (my kids and I) went to Wheeler Farm for a photo day. Once a month I meet up with a group of photographers and we take pictures together in efforts to help each other improve. Today we decided to shoot in manual mode. Thank goodness for RAW format! We had a lot of fun! We all brought models--I brought my kids and I also invited my friend Andrea and her family to come. The weather was perfect and the surroundings were beautiful.

Andrea and her husband adopted an adorable little boy who they named Peyton. He is one day older than Morgan. These two were so cute together. They kept hugging and holding hands. Of course everyone had to get a picture of that. I am excited to see what the other girls caught.

Field Trip

Today was Camden's first kindergarten field trip. They went down to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. Camden was really excited to ride a school bus. He has been waiting to ride a school bus since he was three. This is actually how I convinced him to be potty trained. I told him that when he is a big boy he will get to ride a school bus. He was potty trained within 3 days. I wished I could have gone with him. I am feeling a little guilty maybe just because I have never let him go far without me. However, I babysit on Wednesdays so I couldnt go. It might be good for me to let him go on his own. I just hope they dont lose him! :} I need to start taking pictures of him without this sweater, but it is so cute and one of my favorites! :}

I did it!

I started this months ago, but never had the time to really put it together. So, when Nancy put hers together and showed me what to do I decided it was time to put mine together. I hope that more of my friends will do one so that we can keep in better contact. Let me know when you do!

I love to take pictures and I never get tired of it! Unfortunately my kids do! However, they are really good sports and most of the time after a bribe or two I get a few good shots that I am happy with! So, Halloween has come and gone, but I thought I would share a few photos from the pumpkin patch. Why not!

The kids had a great time riding the tractors, going through the corn maze and picking out pumpkins. I love this time of year! I can't wait until Thanksgiving!
